Our brand new luxury holiday cottages are designed, built and furnished to be Category 1 standard.

  • Unassisted Wheelchair Access accessibility
  • Parking for 2 cars, with easy access to wide front entrance
  • Wide doors throughout, spacious accommodation, ample wheelchair turning space in every room except second bathroom
  • Controllable under floor heating
  • Easy level access to all rooms and outside decked area.  Note - there is a step down from decking to grassed area
  • Large wet room with wheel-in shower, shower chair with arms,  grab rails, high level toilet with let down rail, and accessible wash-hand basin
  • Low level switches and windows
  • All taps are lever design
  • Wheelchair friendly furniture and carpets.  One high level armchair in each cottage
  • Kitchens have some low level work tops and access under hob and sink.  All appliances – oven, hob, dishwasher, washer/drier, fridge and freezer designed for use from wheelchair
  • 9 acres of grounds with wheelchair friendly paths to pond, viewpoint and through woodlands
Extra equipment available on request includes folding wheelchair, wheeled commode shower chair, lightweight static commode, wheeled and static shower chairs, waterproof mattress covers, bed rail, and walking aid.  Folding toilet rails now on both sides of toilet in some cottages.  Please ask about these when booking.
 
Other items of special equipment now available for hire at Culmore Bridge include mobile electric hoist - (please bring your own sling), powered wheelchair, and scooter.  Rates available on request.

Your general comments/suggestions
A beautiful location depending on client group.  An ideal spot for a quiet break away from the hustle and bustle of city life.  We will certainly recommend Culmore Bridge Cottages to Enable Scotland National Office, where it will be advertised along with other holiday venues on their web site.  www.enable.org.uk
